John has extensive expertise negotiating high-value complex contracts in the regional agricultural, residential, and commercial areas, with over 30 years in the Western Australian property industry. His professional responsibilities have given him excellent strategic planning and analytical skills, as well as established relationships with government and industry leaders and negotiation expertise with multinational corporations and individuals. His sales success has been aided by innovative marketing techniques.
In the late 1980s, John worked as a commercial sales representative for Chesterton International. Sixteen years as a Director of Garland International, a family business that specialises in the sale of rural and lifestyle properties throughout Western Australia. Pastoral, Broad Acre, Lifestyle, and Horticultural assets were all sold. He recently launched a Managed Fund to service the Federal Government's Significant Investor Program and provided investment advice to Asian development and rural processing enterprises in Western Australia. In 2004, he earned his MBA.
