Our guest is leading Australian investment banker, corporate advisor, sports commissioner and philanthropist, John Wylie AM.
Over the course of an extraordinary thirty-five plus year career, John has been directly involved in a roll call of some of the Nation's largest institutions.
Post University, his first role was working in the City of London for two years with Hill Samuel & Co. before moving to New York to work with First Boston.

Following a four year period working on Wall Street, John moved to Melbourne in 1991 where he later became managing director of Credit Suisse First Boston for some six years.

Alongside fellow investment banking legend, Mark Carnegie AM, John formed Carnegie Wylie in 2000 which later sold to Lazard seven years later.

John stayed on with Lazard and later became managing director of the business in 2013, working with major clients including Coles Myer, Telstra & Toll Holdings.

Today, John is the Founder & CEO of Tanarra - a diversified alternative asset investment firm with five main business lines consisting of long-term value, private equity, ventures, credit partners & Tanarra philanthropic advisory.

Outside of his corporate positions, John was previously Chairman of the MCG Trust for 15 years as well as Chair of the Australian Sports Commission during the period 2012 - 2020.

He is also President of the State Library of Victoria board and was previously Honorary Treasurer of Florey Neurosciences Institute.
