The BOURKE Story

From a very humble beginning at age 16 in the beachside township of Tugun on the Southern Gold Coast, Jamie Bourke began his real estate journey. It was 1986 and the youngster never thought he would excel into a career path that has seen him the very best in the industry time and time again

Having left school after only completing grade eight at age 14 to help his parents with their thoroughbred racehorse breeding and training centre in Currumbin Valley, there were not a lot of opportunities on offer. Then one day at age 16, his father Jim said, “hay Jamie, do you want to set up a real estate office and see if we can sell some houses in Tugun?”. Naive and eager to impress his father, Jamie jumped straight in.

At age 23, Jamie bought out the largest local office being Ray White Tugun. At 27 he moved to Surfers Paradise as Special Projects Manager at CBRE Gold Coast and then bought the LJ Hooker Surfers Paradise and Main Beach offices.

First National Real Estate enticed Jamie to rebrand his group in 2002, where his office was the Sales office of the Year – 9 times, his Commercial Team were recognised as Number One every year and he earned the title as the groups number one Salesperson – 11 times, until rebranding to his own name in February 2021.
